Faringdon NPT – Survey. Faringdon Neighbourhood Policing Team is inviting all residents to complete a short survey to help identify the issues having the greatest impact on our communities and where you would like us to focus our efforts over the next three months.  Your feedback is invaluable in helping us set local policing priorities and ensure our resources are directed towards the matters that concern residents most.
The survey closes on 31 August 2026, and we encourage as many residents as possible to take part.

WHITE HORSE SHOW
  • Free White Horse Show Tickets for Car Parking Volunteers. Can you spare 2 hours to support the White Horse Show volunteering to help with car parking supervision or manning a gate.  The thank you is a free show ticket for a super day out.  If two adults (parents say) volunteer, that gets a family pass. We will provide supervision, bottled water and a high viz safety vest. The show runs on volunteers helping and car parking duty or gate manning is a huge help to delivering a great show. If interested, please register at the link. Thank you:   https://forms.gle/FqSczBheRWc9iFLF7

  • WHS Cake and Produce Stall. Thank you to all those who have offered to make jams, cakes and other things for the church produce stall. Please could you deliver your contributions either to Juliet Moss at Field House, Fernham Rd or Fenella Oberman at 2 Lower Common Cottages on Saturday 29 August before 5pm, when we will be going to the showground to set up. Many thanks in advance.

  • Songs of Praise. It will be great to see you at the White Horse Show this year. Come and speculate at the 'Barrel of Booze' and buy at the Church Cake and Produce Stall, and then at the White Horse Songs of Praise on Sunday, bring your friends along and sing some fantastic hymns, hear some Celtic prayers, and all to the mellifluous backing of the Wantage Silver Band at 3.30pm near the centre of the Ground.  Yours, Rev. Jeremy and Co.

GENERAL
The Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust (OHCT) - September 12, 2026. OHCT organizes annual cycle routes for the Ride + Stride fundraising event, held on the second Saturday of September (September 12, 2026).  The OHCT sponsored bike ride is fast approaching on Saturday Sept 12th.
Juliet Moss is riding for Uffington again this year and would love to hear from anyone who would like to sponsor her. Half the proceeds go to St Mary's and half to other historic churches in Oxfordshire. We also need a few people to welcome the cyclists and walkers at the church from 10-6pm.

If you could help man the church or would like to sponsor Juliet, who hopes to visit about 20 churches, please email her at julietmoss@hotmail.co.uk
